I received a BS in Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Training from Western Washington University in 2000. After completing a two and half year internship program working with all of WWU’s sports teams, I became a certified athletic trainer (ATC). I continued my education at the University of Washington where I graduated from UW’s first Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in 2005.
I enjoy working with a variety of patients including athletes, post-surgical patients, post-partum women, school aged children and those who have overuse or chronic injuries/pain. I believe in patient empowerment through education and emphasizes the importance of identifying faulty movement patterns and/or habits that impede the body’s natural ability to heal. I have training in both NAIOMT (North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy) and Mulligan manual techniques and carefully prescribe therapeutic exercises to help my patients reach their therapy goals. My personal interests include running, hiking, travel, photography and spending time with my husband and two young children.Email Amber
